Public Adjuster

Public adjusters are employed by the policyholder who have sustained loss. They handle every detail of the claim, working closely with their clients to provide equitable and prompt settlements.

An Adjuster inspects the loss site immediately, analyzes damages, assembles claim support data, reviews coverage and determines current replacement costs to exclusively serve clients.

Mediation

Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution that can be used instead of taking the matter to the judicial system or Appraisal for settlement. It's non-binding and confidential, so participants are able to work on understanding each other’s position with the help from an impartial mediator for settlement. The mediator does not impose anything but rather helps both parties reach an agreement which together is equitable.

Appraisal

The insurance policy has a provision which gives either the company or you, as an insured person, the right to demand an “appraisal” if there is any disagreement. The purpose of this process is to offer both parties a less expensive and more effective alternative for settling a dispute rather than going through legal courts. Appraisals are pretty similar to binding arbitration and the panel is made from three parties; one from the insurance company, the insured and an impartial arbitrator chosen by those two members.
